How Airport Car Rental Pickup Works

Car Rentals in Orange County

Car rentals in Orange County are useful if you want to visit Anaheim, Newport Beach, Laguna Beach, Irvine, Costa Mesa, Huntington Beach, or multiple coastal and inland neighborhoods on your own schedule. City rental locations may be available near hotels, business districts, shopping areas, and local transportation corridors.

Airport pickup is often the easiest choice when you want to drive soon after landing at SNA. City pickup may work better if you are staying near a hotel first, want to avoid parking for part of the trip, or only need a car for a day trip to the beach, Anaheim, Los Angeles, or San Diego.

Airport vs City Pickup Locations

Choosing between SNA airport pickup and an Orange County city rental location depends on convenience, total price, hotel parking, traffic, and your itinerary. Airport rentals make sense if you are heading to Anaheim, Irvine, Newport Beach, Laguna Beach, Huntington Beach, or another city soon after landing. City pickup can work better if your hotel charges for parking or you only need a vehicle for part of your stay.

Airport pickup: convenient after landing, but may include added airport fees
City pickup: may offer savings, but requires transportation to the rental location
Hotel-area pickup: helpful if you only need a car for part of your trip
